MUNG BEAN AND APPLE BURGER

Ingredients

  • 6 burger buns
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/4cupcheese
  • 1 Royal Gala apple
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1/2 cup mung beans
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala

Directions

  • Wash and cook the mung beans until soft and mash with salt
  • Fry the onions with 1 tbsp of oil till they turn lightly pink
  • Boil the potaoes and mash them with a little salt
  • Mix the potato mash, bean mash, ketchup, cumin powder, garam masala and grate the cheese into the mixture
  • Form small patties from this mixture that will fit the buns
  • Fry the patties in the oil and place on the buns topped with a slice of apple
  • Add an extra slice of cheese for a creamier flavor if desired
